College Professor That person is Richard L. Hopkins, who taught graphic design, typography and advertising production at West Virginia University in the advertising department of the School of Journalism. He filled that position for seven years prior to founding the Pioneer Press. He has both bachelor's and master's degrees from WVU in journalism, and also began doctorial studies at the University of Iowa. In addition to his 25 years of "helping others" through the Pioneer Press, Hopkins also has a wide-ranging reputation as a guru of letterpress printing, hot metal type and typecasting, is founderof the American Typecasting Fellowship and editor of that group's journal, as well as proprietor of the Hill & Dale Private Press and Type foundry. |
